GB7AS Went live on Phoenix on 7/5/2016 and moved to Brandmeister on 9/12/23

It is using an antenna @ 20ft
GB7AS is using a Motorola DR3000 Repeater.

Talks and Demo’s often given at our meetings, and help progamming radios.

GB7AS Coverage

We have had some excellent reports and the repeater is working well with good coverage in and around Ashford and the major roads around the area. It fits in nicely as expected complementing the coverage from GB7CK in Folkestone. Scroll down for a coverage map.

DMR Move to Brandmeister

We moved GB7CK to Brandmeister on 26th October and GB7AS on 9th December 2023. We have worked closely with the Thanet Group to ensure talkgroups and configuration are the same.

Recommended Talkgroup Layout

Below is the Talkgroup Layout, we have some ready made codeplugs available to access the repeaters. All talkgroups are permitted, but the recommended usage is as follows:

Timeslot 1
This timeslot has a static talkgroup of 235148. It is used for local traffic and is where most of the regular local users hang out. You can also use talkgroup 235148 on any Brandmeister connected repeater or hotspot for ‘calling home’ to GB7AS. Please do not use any other talkgroup on this timeslot.

Timeslot 2
This timeslot has a static talkgroup of 23519 which is the Kent Group. Users can activate any other talkgroup they like on this timeslot. To QSY to other talkgroups, simply use any other talk group as a dynamic, user activated talkgroup. Please disconnect by requesting talkgroup 4000 when you have finished.
