Thank you

Thanks to everyone that came along last night, and for those that came up on Zoom. The Zoom experience will be improved slightly for the next meeting.

Matt gave us an update on the repeaters and the SDR network we have been testing.

Barry 2E0DTS gave us a great talk on the Raspberry Pi, and the uses with different radio related projects. Thank you Barry.

We had some discussing about DMR and the possibility of moving GB7CK and GB7AS over to the Brandmester network. We will discuss this more in the future.

We then discussed some of the SDR's we have been testing recently, here are some links and information.

Capel Cliffs SDR1 – Kiwi SDR – HF Vertical Antenna
http://capelcliffs.ddns.net:8073
The beauty of the kiwi SDR is you can try many of the digital modes within the internet browser

Capel Cliffs SDR2 – Marine Band SDR Working well with a new Marine Antenna
http://capelcliffs.ddns.net:8074
This Antenna is very high, and performance is very good. Antenna was upgraded on 27/5/23

Capel Cliffs SDR3 – 2m / 70cms SDR Currently in Development
http://capelcliffs.ddns.net:8075
This SDR is currently on test on 2m. Its using a Diamond X50 high up on the house. This is very much a test RX and may not stay on 2m, we may try out some other things in the weeks to come. This was installed 21/6/23

Finally thank you to Shirley for organizing the refreshments as usual :)
