Some of us have been testing out the QuanSheng UV-K5 Radios.

So far excellent results from a very cheap radio. In my option way better than the early Baofeng Radios we used years ago.

After some research it appears as we speak the Egzumer firmware seems to be the best to use. At the moment it is on version v0.20.1 it is very easy to update your radio by using the programming cable, and using the web browser to update using this link.

We do have a codeplug available if anyone would like it, it includes local repeaters, simplex channels, and PMR.

A very cheap radio which works very well, and some great features with modified firmware.
